TVET PROGRAM

 

AICCAD launched its youth employability program in 2006 to provide market-driven technical training for Kenya’s youth, who make up over 35% of the population. The program addresses challenges such as unemployment, substance abuse, negative media influence, and health concerns, aiming to empower youth to reach their full potential.

TVET Centers

AICCAD operates 2 training centers in Kenya:

Nairobi Training Centre (Nairobi County)
Eldoret Training Centre (Uasin Gishu County)

Over 50,000 youth have been trained and transitioned into employment.

Community-Based Training & Apprenticeships

In addition to institutional training, AICCAD offers Community-Based Training (CBT), where youth are attached to local master trainers. Popular skills include hairdressing, tailoring, and mechanics, allowing participants to earn while they learn.

AICCAD integrates soft skills such as life skills, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy into its courses to ensure graduates are well-prepared for employment.
